Giro d'Italia 2009 - 100° Milano Show: tour of italy vince Cavendish - Parte 4
Il Giro d'Italia del centenario arriva a Milano. Tappa di celebrazione del Giro d'Italia, che proprio a Milano ha visto i suoi natali esattamente 100 anni fa: i corridori hanno deciso di non correre 'a tutta' preferendo neutralizzare i tempi, causa la pericolosità del percorso cittadino. Subito è scoppiata la polemica, e non poteva che essere così, il Milano Show si è dunque trasformato in un'attesa di quasi tre ore prima di potersi chiamare finalmente gara: poi si è giocata veramente solo la volata, che ha visto sprintare bene l'inglese Cavendish che trova finalmente il successo personale, battendo l'australiano Allan Davis Strade chiuse, automobili off-limits, tram, autobus e filobus dirottati su percorsi diversi dai soliti. Milano si è fermata, questa volta non per scioperi o manifestazioni, ma per stare a guardare il Giro d'Italia, solitamente non all'arrivo, com'è stato dal 1990 a oggi, ma inusualmente giunto appena alla nona tappa. Ben 165 chilometri, su un circuito da 16,5 percorso ben 10 volte: partenza dalla centralissima Piazza Duomo, da poco ripulita in seguito alla festa-scudetto dell'Inter scudettata, poi via in corso Buenos Aires, Piazzale Loreto (dove un secolo fa parti il primo mitico Giro), Via Moscova per arrivare infine in Corso Venezia. Milano è la storia del Giro e il Giro decide di rendergli omaggio, neutralizzando di fatto i distacchi: a inizio corsa arriva infatti la comunicazione che "Per rendere omaggio alla Città di Milano, per ricordare la partenza della corsa rosa 100 anni fa proprio da Milano, la direzione della corsa ha deciso che sarà valido solamente l'ordine d'arrivo. E' una tappa show, omaggio alla città di Milano". Proprio 100 anni fa, infatti, nel 1909 partiva il primo Giro dalle strade di Milano: 127 km fino a Bologna quella volta, 165 questa volta. che dunque si siede e si gode lo show : i corrdiori sfileranno dalle 11 alle 18 da Corso Sempione a Piazza Oberdan, da Piazza Sant'Agostino a Lega Lombarda (arena). Questi i punti della città che saranno toccati dai ciclisti: piazzale Loreto, piazzale Oberdan, piazza della Repubblica, piazzale Baiamonti, piazza Lega Lombarda, piazza Castello, piazzale Cadorna, piazza SantAgostino, piazza Conciliazione, viale Milton, corso Sempione, piazza Lega Lombarda

Eurovision 2009 Opening Night - 10 May Moscow
Thousands of guests flocked to Moscow from all over Europe and the area right next to the Kremlin became the hotspot of the Eurovision-2009 opening ceremony.
For the night, Eurodom was turned into a huge dance floor welcoming guests with traditional Russian cuisine including famous pancakes with caviar. Happy guests spoke of the unexpected beauty of Moscow and the hospitality of the Russians.
Its a completely different city; its not what we expected in any way. The architecture is just so beautiful and I think the hospitality is second to none, says Iain Hambling from BBC Radio Leicester.
One of the top favorites of this years contest, Alexander Rybak representing Norway, says this Eurovision is a big party.
Everybody is so polite and wishes the best to every artist, thats so special! Its not much of a competition, its more of a party, he says.
The concert-parade of Eurovision winners was opened by Lys Assia from Switzerland, the famed winner of the very first Eurovision Song Contest.
The German band, Genghis Khan, Israeli transsexual singer Dana International, Serbian Marija Serifovic, and Russian Dima Bilan, due to her winning last years Eurovision this is now taking place in Russia, continued the star-studded show.
The head of the Russian jury, pop singer Phillip Kirkorov, performed a hit from Kylie Minogue, and the Russian contestant for this years Eurovision, Anastas Prihodko, performed her entry, Mamo.
Now that the festival has officially begun, participants are performing their final dress rehearsal concerts and waiting impatiently for the major events to occur and betting for the winner.

Today on the 3rd of March long-expected European release for Always - song by the most surprising European duo AySel & Arash - were finally held. Songs creators have already named this composition the romantic anthem for Eurovision 2009. Do you agree with them? You can listen to this song here
More than a month this song was under diligent work to make it great for the best result at Eurovision 2009 for Azerbaijan. Recall that the author of the song Always is famous European composer and singer Arash. It was his composition Always that won during the national selection for the best song from Azerbaijan to participate in Eurovision 2009.
Always is a 100% European hit for this spring. This song is unexpected mix from the best European musical drifts and traditional Azeri musical culture. Songs author Arash confessed that it was his principal idea to create not just new European hit among all others but to make a unique composition which would be associated with Land of Fire Azerbaijan and its culture.
Even at the song introduction you can hear Azeri national instrument called tar. Tar became the lead instrument during Always creation process. For the authenticity sound well-known Azeri tarist Sahib Pashazade was involved in the recording process. Author of song Arash studied different sounding instruments of Azerbaijan and decided on the sonorous and distinctive tar. «I believe in our song - said Arash. - This is absolutely European format but at the same time there are many unique elements of Azeri music and culture. Our song is incredibly romantic. I am sure that everyone will find own love story in it. It is not important whether you have such story or it is just ahead. If you believe in it - it will happen».
Young Azeri singer AySel admitted that this song is very intimate to her because she is waiting for such strong and romantic feeling for herself as she can find and sing in this song. Im 19 and I can tell you that I was in love, - AySel said. But now Im waiting for such a strong and engrossing feeling in my life, like that one we are singing about with Arash in our song. I cant wait to find that special someone that only one whom will spell my name and all the mountains are high!.
The song was released on the label Warner Music. Now the duo is working hard
to create a stage performance for the song Always. The original version of the Azeri productions will be presented at the traditional Heads of Delegation meeting of countries participating in the competition on the 16th of March in Moscow.
